So I made it, and I have operational wi-fi. I’ve also helped my mother with receiving the delivery of a new freezer, jiggering it about, emptying the old one and defrosting the old one and stocking the new one.
No interesting finds whilst performing freezer archaeology. Although it appears that my dad is convinced there is going to be some kind of porcine shortage so has taken it upon himself to create his own homage to Doomsday prepping by buying gammon joints in bulk. ENOUGH PIG.
Time to check in with the Zero to Hero tasks that I missed …
Day 16: MAKE A WRITING PROMPT YOUR OWN.
Today’s assignment: publish a post based on your own, personalized take on today’s Daily Prompt.
Day 17: INCREASE YOUR COMMENTING CONFIDENCE
Today’s assignment: read six posts written in response to yesterday’s prompt, and leave comments on at least two of them.
Day 18: ACTIVATE A SOCIAL NETWORK
Today’s assignment: Explore one or more social networks, and start an account so you can being exploring the possibilities. If you’re already active on a social network, set up Publicize and link the account to your blog, and/or create a strategy for how you’ll use it.
I Publicise on Facebook (undoubtedly driving people barmy), Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest and Google+, and am connected to Instagram. Although none of those are through the title of this blog but through me as a person. Do I have a strategy with which to use them? Not at all. Should I? Possibly.
I’m going to leave you with another dog picture. Because why not? This time the girl who has so far not graced this blog: Sophie. There will, no doubt, be a post at a later date detailing all the ups and downs she faced (both before and after she came into our home), and this pic isn’t the best but it illustrates perfectly what was her second favourite activity (the first being eating, naturellement).
(And, yes, you did spot the past tense in that paragraph – she passed away in October 2008.)
